Hser Poh’s Story
Hser Poh is 13 and came on a trip to the Thai Burma border with The Hope Project in January 2018.
Hser Poh saw firsthand the need for basic rice supplies for his Karen people. He felt challenged to give all he’d saved – $340 – to buy 10 bags of rice for Ee Htu Hta, a remote refugee camp in Burma with over 5,000 people who are in a crisis situation with no food due to funding cuts.
We’ve been so inspired by Hser Poh’s gift that we’ve launched Hser Poh’s Rice Challenge to encourage others to match his donation to help feed people at Ee Htu Hta and other villages and schools in the area. Would you like to match Hser Poh’s gift?
